Bond Referendum for Audubon Middle-High School Building Improvements
On March 3, 2020 patrons of the Audubon Community School District will be asked to go to the polls to grant permission to issue capital loan notes in an amount not to exceed $7,500,000 to fund the model, repair, and improvement of the middle and high school building, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing improvements.
The Middle and High School has important facility needs that must be addressed soon to ensure our students continue to have access to a top-quality educational experience.

Space Improvements & Modernization: Auditorium, Classrooms & Media Center, Band & Music Rooms, Science & FCS Rooms, Kitchen & Teachers' Lounge, Hallways & Corridors, Restrooms & Locker Rooms, Cafeteria, Industrial Tech, Weight Room, Office Suites, North Gym & Hallway
Safety & Security: Fire Protection System (sprinklers & fire alarms), Secure Entry, Egress Lighting

BOND REFERENDUM VOTING INFORMATION
The question on the ballot will read as follows:
“Shall the Board of Directors of the Audubon Community School District in the Counties of Audubon and Guthrie, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $7,500,000 to provide funds to remodel, repair, and improve the middle school / high school building, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing improvements?”
**By voting YES for the referendum, residents are giving the district permission to borrow funds for the project.
**By voting NO for the referendum, residents are not giving the district permission to borrow funds for the project.
Any registered voter living within the Audubon School District boundaries is eligible to participate in the election. Election day will be Tuesday, March 3rd, with the polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Agri-Hall for Audubon County Residents.
Guthrie County residents in the Audubon school district will vote at Christian Church in Guthrie Center.
Not able to vote at the polls on March 3 - vote by absentee ballot.
